Macedonian Breweries Posting Solid Profits

Pivovara Skopje, the largest Macedonian brewery, posted a 39-percent higher profit, which amounted to MKD 163.2 million or EUR 2.6 million in the first quarter of this year.

Last year, the company’s profit reached MKD 268.7 million. The brewery reported sales decrease from MKD 1.721 billion last year to MKD 1.340 billion this year. 

On the other hand, Prilepska pivovara generated a great increase in profit of 245 percent, mostly thanks to Prilep's Beer Festival.

Last year, the company’s profit amounted to MKD 12.1 million in the first quarter, while this year it reached MKD 41.7 million. In the first six months, the sales business was stabile with growth of 13 percent, from MKD 514.9 million to MKD 453.6 million.
