A 60-year-old patient with type A influenza virus, but suffering from prior chronic diseases, passed away at the Skopje-based Clinic for Infective Diseases.
The Clinic said the patient was admitted with pneumonia and meningitis and previously had heart and blood pressure problems. Despite all intensive treatment efforts, the patient passed away several hours later.
Three patients with the A type influenza virus are currently treated at the Infective Clinic.
