Bulgaria's President Proposes Joint Defense with Macedonia

Bulgaria's President Rossen Plevneliev declared himself for a joint defense with the neighbouring countries Photo Emona TsonchevaBulgaria to have common defense system with the neighbouring countries, President Rossen Plevneliev proposed at a forum in Sofia. Serbia, Macedonia and Austria have already requested their participation in a regional centre for intelligent defense, NATO representatives announced. According to president Plevneliev the countries in the region should unite their defense systems. Several countries could integrate in the next purchase of defense equipment, Bulgarian president stated. Each country should specialize in its defense and to compliment with the neighbours, Mr. Plevneliev added. Bulgarian air crafts could protect the air space of Macedonia for example and their tanks could guard Bulgaria's land borders.
