Yom Hashoah observance in Macedonia

The Jewish Community in Macedonia and the Holocaust Fund of Jews in Macedonia mark Monday Yom Hashoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The event will be held in the Skopje-based Holocaust Memorial Center, including a book promotion.

Yom Hashoah has been held since 1951, when the Jewish Parliament (Knesset) adopted a decision commemorating the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in spring 1943.
