In der Gruppe B -Spielort ist Niš- trifft Mazedonien auf Deutschland, Schweden und Tschechien. Der Fokus liegt ganz klar auf das Match mit Tschechien, dass vermutlich das Duell um Gruppen Platz drei sein wird, jedoch rechnet sich das Team auch Chancen gegen Deutschland aus.Gegen Schweden dürfte wohl nur ein Sieg möglich sein wenn die Mannschaft über sich hinaus wächst - dies könnte aber durchaus möglich sein, da Mazedonien in Niš wohl eine Art Heimvorteil haben könnte aufgrund der geographischen Nähe zu Mazedonien. According to the coach, Zvonko Shundovski, Macedonia has the abilities to compete and defeat anyone in the group, though he sees the most difficulties when facing the German team, not because of how good they are, rather the clout and authority the German federation has within the EHF.
The first match Macedonia plays against a young Swedish team who is always good and dangerous. Next is Germany and the last match is against the Czech Republic.
Croatia was drawn with Slovenia, Iceland and Norway, while Spain was drawn with France, Hungary and Russia. In the last group Serbia hosts Poland, Denmark and Slovakia.
