Macedonia's women handball team is ever so close to qualifying for the Europan championship after it defeated Lithuania in Vilnus 24-32.
The red and yellow broke Lithuanian resistance in the second half after both teams ended the match tied 14-14 on half time.
Ten minutes into the second half, Macedonia took a decisive 5 goal lead which it didn't give up until the end for a comfortable win. The final score was 32-24.
Elena Georgievska scored 8 goals, Pecevska 6, Bajramovska 5.
The crucial match comes this Sunday against Turkey. Should Macedonia win it, it will book a ticket to the European championship in Holland.
France certainly helped today as they defeated Turkey in Ankara 36-23.
