It is possible that Macedonia launches the EU integration process in mid-2013, says Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule in an interview with Austrian daily "Kleine Zeitung", Greek media report on Thursday.
According to him, Macedonia and Serbia could start their Union integration in mid-2013, adding this still depends from member-states.
"The two main pillars of the EU since its establishment - enlargement and integration - represent an incentive for the Union and its citizens", says Fule.
He stresses that although focus is now given to the settlement of the financial and debt crisis in Europe, the enlargement process is not a problem, but always part of the solution.
