Macedonia lost their first leg 8-6 to France in Paris, but countered big in the second leg obliterating the French 12-4 and qualifying for Eindhoven.
Although 3 goal win was good enough for the red and yellow, carried on the wings of 3,500 fans they never gave the French a chance in this match.
