Although Turkish authorities have no record of Hedi Ramkovski crossing their border, the Macedonian police and unofficial sources are certain the son of jailed media magnate Velija Ramkovski is hiding in Turkey.
For over two months, the Macedonian police as well as Interpol are searching for Hedi. His strong business ties with Turkey and Kosovo make these two places as the spots where police is focusing their search.
Both Turkey and Kosovo claim no such individual has crossed into their country, which leads to speculations Hedi has used a fake passport with false identity.
Hedi Ramkovski's mother, Mazes Ramkovska confirmed her son has no intention of coming to Macedonia. "Of course my son is hiding, wouldn't you hide? The police are looking for him, so yes, he will not come here" said Mazes in an A1 TV Interview back on February 4th.
Although absent, Hedi's has been ordered to prison by Skopje Court 1 when the taxation office discovered years of systematic tax evasion and money laundering by more than 35 companies owned by the Ramkovski's clan since 1991.
