Der Bau der neuen Autobahn, bzw des Teilstücks, Kichevo-Ohrid verläuft laut telegraf ausgezeichnet. Das Team hatte auch die Möglichkeit bei dem Dorf Izvor Fotos von einem Tunneldurchbruch zu machen.

The construction of the highway from Kichevo to Ohrid is in full swing, reports Telegraf.mk.
In four years the trip to Ohrid, as reported by the Telegraph, will be real pleasure. The construction of the highway from Kichevo to Ohrid is in full swing, and the team of Telegraf.mk was able to ensure during the visit to the village Izvor. Everywhere can be seen construction workers and huge machinery. You can hear Macedonian, English and Chinese language, the highway is built by the Chinese “Synohidro Corporation Limited”.
In construction, under the contract, as subcontractors participate Macedonian workers from companies “Granit”, “TRANSMET” and “Ilinden”. At Izvor are built prefabricated buildings, that houses workers who work continuously during the weekend, but the work is not interrupted even by the snow keeps falling in the past few days in the western region.
Under the project, the new highway will start in Kichevo, near the railway station, through Podvis, Preseka, Pesochani and will reach Trebenishta, where should share the road to Struga. Thus through Podmolje is connected with Ohrid. End of highway long 57 kilometers will be at the intersection where the road splits for Bitola and enter the city.
There will be two lanes on both sides and additional lanes to stop in the middle of the green belt and the route will have six overpasses and 13 underpasses. According to the contractor, this is the most complicated infrastructure investment in the last 50 years, which is following all European safety standards.
Traveling to Ohrid will be shorter for at least half hour. It would mean lot to the development of tourism in Ohrid and Struga region and promotion of Macedonia as an attractive tourist destination.
The total investment costs about 411 million euro, and the funds are provided by loan from the Chinese Exim Bank. The deadline for the construction is 45 months.
