Slovenia's Petrol interested in Macedonian utility Toplifikacija - report.


Slovenia's leading energy company Petrol is interested in buying the 16.44% stake of Skopje's district heating utility Toplifikacija that is being offered for sale by Macedonian commercial bank NLB Tutunska Banka, daily Utrinski Vesnik reported, quoting unofficial information. The stake comprises 74,000 shares and will be sold through a public bourse auction under the "all or nothing" rule. The auction is scheduled for June 12. The shares are offered at a starting unit price of MKD 3,079 (EUR 50), which puts the total value of the stake at MKD 227.8mn. Meanwhile, the daily further reports that Petrol is interested in becoming the majority shareholder of the Macedonian utility and is ready to pay about EUR 14mn for the controlling share package.
