Hungary’s PM Viktor Orban called for the EU-Macedonia accession negotiations and urged for a NATO membership invitation for the country. Orban, who was presented with the United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) Goce Delcev Award in Hungary’s Parliament, added that the name talks with Greece cannot obstruct Macedonia’s Euro-Atlantic integration. “Macedonia has committed itself to EU and NETO membership, got prepared, completed all the necessary tasks. That’s why it’s understandable why the Union and the North-Atlantic Alliance are building such a “debt” towards the Balkan. Despite admitting that Macedonia is ready to join, it still does not start the negotiations with it,” he stressed.
