MINA has received an official document in which nearly bankrupt A1 TV forgives 2.4 million denars, money owed to them for political advertising by the opposition party SDSM.
But why would A1 TV who itself owes millions of euros in unpaid taxes to the government and additional millions to printing and publishing companies would forgive money owed to them by the SDSM?
What has the SDSM done for A1 TV, so the station sees 2.4 million denars as not important?
The contract is sent out in three copies, one to the SDSM, one for A1 and the third for SRD (the council for Radio & TV).
Around two months ago, A1 TV claimed it wouldn't have money to operate for a week because the UJP had suspended their banking accounts. Today A1 is able to forgive 2.4 million denars owed to them by the SDSM, which brings the question: who is funding this station, does A1 TV and the SDSM operate from the same budget?
