The total of 132 broadcasters operated in Macedonia last year, 69 of which were radio, and 63 were TV stations.
According to data of the State Statistical Office, one of the radio stations is a public broadcasting enterprise, 65 are trade broadcasting companies, and three are non-profit broadcasting institutions.
The public broadcasting enterprise that airs radio program, broadcast the total of 37, 490 hours of programs, the musical program comprising the bulk,or 62.2%, while the trade broadcasting companies aired the total of 517, 043 hours of radio program, 62% of which were dedicated to musical programs.

The public broadcasting enterprise that aired TV program broadcast the total of 20, 197 hours, the bulk of which, or 14.5% was featured program, while the trade broadcasting companies aired the total of 476, 067 hours of TV program, with the total of 24.6% meant for a featured program.
