The Government's economic team led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski pays a visit Wednesday to Finland, where it is scheduled to meet with country's President Sauli Niinisto.
PM Gruevski will also meet members of the Finnish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as present Macedonia's investment opportunities at a business forum organized by the Finnish Foreign Trade Association.
The Government delegation, also including Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski, Ministers for Foreign Investments Vele Samak and Bill Pavleski, as well as deputy director of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion Hristijan Delev, attended late Tuesday a dinner hosted by Canada's Ambassador to Helsinki Christopher Shapardanov, who is of Macedonian descent.
Prior to the Helsinki stay, PM Gruevski paid a two-day visit to Sweden, where he met with counterpart Fredrik Reinfeldt, Parliament Speaker Per Westerberg, Trade Minister Eva Björling, and Swedish Trade Council CEO Ulf Berg. Talks focused on bilateral cooperation, Macedonia's EU and NATO aspirations, as well the country's progress with regards to creating a favorable business climate. Moreover, Gruevski addressed about 60 Swedish businessmen at a forum held in Stockholm.
The Macedonian delegation resumes its Scandinavian tour in Denmark, where PM Gruevski will meet counterpart Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Parliament Speaker Mogens Lykketoft, as well as "Dansk Industri" CEO Karsten Dybvad.
