Heute hat die Geschäftsführung von Kostal in Skopje die Unterschrift für ihre Investition in Makedonien gesetzt. Die Vertreter von Kostal waren heute bei Premierminister Gruevski und den Direktor für die TIRZ Industrie Zonen Viktor Mizo.  Das Unternehmen wird ein 50 Millionen Euro schweres Werk in der Ohrid-Struga Region errichten, Baubeginn soll Anfang des nächsten Jahres sein. Um die 1000 Arbeitsplätze sollen so eröffnet werden. Angekündigt wurde die Investition schon im Dezember letzen Jahres ( siehe HIER ), mit der heutigen Unterschrift beginnt ihre Realisation. Gjorge Ivanov, Präsident Mazedoniens, zu Besuch bei Papst Franziskus. Der Präsident übergab dem Heiligen Vater als Geschenk ein handgearbeitetes Silberkreuz mit einem mazedonischen Rubin und einen Rotwein Vranec Grand Reserve. Foreign direct investments (FDIs) in the first eight months of 2015 rose by 6%. Statistics show that foreign direct investments were estimated at EUR 153,4 million between January and August, which is an increase of EUR 8,7 million compared to the same period last year. FDIs in August alone stood at EUR 27,4 million, being an increase of 11.3%, i.e. generating EUR 2,8 million more than in August 2014. New FDIs should be realized by the end of the year. Two American automotive companies are expected this month to reveal their plans to invest in Macedonia. “One of these companies will be located in the Skopje 1­Bunardzik zone, where 500 jobs will be created. The other company will be located in inland Macedonia and is expected to hire approximately 1,500 people.

Economic growth in Macedonia is picking up, based on continuous industrial growth, which rose to 8,6 percent in September, compared to September 2014. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Zoran Stravreski, quoted in the media, said that this level of growth, under complicated political circumstances, is a strong response from the economy that it is resilient, but that it needs political stability. "Long term economic policies are the best and most important condition for economic growth. The growth we are recording is significant, given that it comes from multiple industrial branches, especially in the important manufacturing industry which is the corner stone of our industrial production. Macedonian industry is expected to finish the year with a solid positive output, giving us one of the highest growth rates in the region", Stavreski said.
