Days of Macedonian Culture Kick off in Russia

The manifestation 'Days of Macedonian Culture in Russia', will be formally opened Saturday evening at the prestigious 'Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky' Conservatory in Moscow.

In the next three days Russia's capital and St. Petersburg will have an opportunity to get familiar with Macedonia's music, paintings, films and theater.

Culture Minister Elizabeta Lanceska Milevska has the honor to open the event. The opening ceremony also includes a concert of Moscow Philharmonic and Macedonian opera singers Ana, Igor Durlovski and Blagoj Nacoski.

An exhibit of the work of art of prominent Macedonian painter Vladimir Georgievski will be opened Monday at the F. M. Dostoevsky Memorial Museum in St. Petersburg. The scene of 'Vera Fedorovna Kommisarzhevskaya' Theater will host the performance of Choderlos de Laclos' 'Dangerous Liaisons', featuring the artists of Bitola Theater. The St. Petersburg Theater will also host the presentation of selection of Manaki Brothers' works, as well as of the movies 'Black Seed' and 'Bal-Can-Can'.

Last year Macedonia was the host of the Days of Russian Culture, welcoming the Moscow Synodal Choir, soloist of the Bolshoi Ballet and the vocal trio 'Relikt'.
