A Government delegation led by PM Nikola Gruevski is paying a visit to Russia and on Monday will take part at business forum organised by the Russia’s Chamber of Commerce and Trade.
PM Gruevski is set to meet Moscow Region Governor Sergey Shoigu and management of Protek Group company, Government's Press Service reports.
Gruevski is accompanied by Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski, Economy Minister Valjon Saracini and Minister without Portfolio in charge of Attraction of Foreign Investments Bill Pavleski.
The team will present Macedonia’s investment opportunities at the business forum on Tuesday in Vladimir town whereat meeting with Vladimir Region Governor Nikolai Vinogradov is planned.
On Wednesday, the economic team will present Macedonia's business opportunities before businessmen in Nizhny Novgorod and will hold a meeting with Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Valery Shantsev. Also the economic team will participate at the plenary session of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.
On Thursday and Friday, government delegation will take part at the business forum organised by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation will also meet managing team of Gazprom, Stroytransgaz and Lukoil companies.
PM Gruevski will open Macedonia's honorary consulate in St. Petersburg and will meet Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko.
The Republic of Macedonia and the Russian Federation established diplomatic relations on Jan. 31, 1994. Political relations between the two countries are characterised by positive trend in all spheres of mutual interest.
Further intensifying of cooperation in economy, agriculture, culture, education and other sectors is expected at the 6th session of Inter-governmental Commission for Trade, Economic, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, which will be held July 2-3, 2012 in Nizhny Novgorod.
