Ivan Trichkovski has agreed to contract terms with Belgian side Club Brugge with the transfer likely to become official next week since Ivan is expecting the birth of his first child tomorrow.

Media reports in Italy linked Ivan Trichkovski with Torino yesterday but that proved to be baseless as Ivan has agreed to continue his career with Belgian side Club Brugge. Trichkovski received a proposal from Club Brugge which he deemed too good to pass up, and decided to accept the move to Belgium. According to Cypriot newspapers, Ivan will supposedly earn 600,000 Euros per season on his three year contract with Club Brugge.

The move, however, will not become official until probably next week since Trichkovski is expecting the birth of his first child tomorrow. He will be allowed to spend several days with the newborn before he is officially presented as a new player by Club Brugge. APOEL will receive slightly more than one million Euros as a transfer fee for the sale of Trichkovski. Ivan had a contract with APOEL until the summer of 2013 so the Cypriot club used this opportunity to cash in on Trichkovski.

Ivan's new club finished in 2nd place of the Belgian top division last season, and will participate in the Champions League qualifications later in the summer. Club Brugge is one of the most popular teams in Belgium with 13 league titles in its history, trailing only Anderlecht who has won that trophy 31 times.

Trichkovski is a versatile player who can play numerous positions. At APOEL, Ivan has played as a left midfielder, left winger, support striker and lone striker, while for Macedonia he primarily plays as a left winger that is also asked to track back and help out on defense.
