Investment opportunities offered by Macedonia in the automotive industry are being presented at this year's Automotive News World Congress held in Detroit on Jan. 15-17.
Macedonia's stand at the congress, taking place ahead of the North American International Auto Show, was presented by the director of the Directorate for Technological and Industrial Development Zones, Viktor Mizo with his team and the country's economic promoter based in Detroit, Dejan Velickov. They are meeting with representatives of a number of companies.
"The presence of a Macedonian state institution at the congress has been commended both by the organiser and by most participants pointing it out as an example of a country that is active in promoting investment opportunities," the directorate said in a press release.
The congress in Detroit brings together 1,000 representatives of automotive manufacturers and leading car part suppliers from the United States and beyond.
Ford, Audi, Chrysler, Honda, Hyundai and BMW have already held presentations at the event, where global trends in the industry for 2013 were promoted.
