Newly born enterprises, 2011 According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2009, 10.0% of the total number of active enterprises in the Macedonia whose main activity according to the National Classification of Activities-NKD Rev.2 is in the sectors of activity from B/? to S/O (without sectors A/?, O/?, T/? ? U/? and class 64.20) were newly born enterprises.
Enterprise deaths, 2009
As regards enterprise deaths, data show that in 2009 the total number of enterprise deaths whose main activity according to the National Classification of Activities-NKD Rev.2 is in the sectors of activity from B/? to S/O (without sectors A/?, O/?, T/? ? U/? and class 64.20) was 10.4% of the total number of active enterprises in the given sectors.
Analysed by sectors of activity, the data show that the sector with the highest share in births and deaths of enterprises is "Wholesale and retail sale trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles".
The data on the structure of the enterprise births and deaths by legal form show that the highest share belongs to enterprises which according to their legal form are categorised as limited liability companies and joint stock companies.
Enterprises born in 2008-2010 that survived until 2011
Of the total number of newly born enterprises in 2008, 60.5% have survived in 2011. The greatest survival rate is observed among the newly born enterprises whose main activity according to the National Classification of Activities NKD Rev.2 belongs in the sector of activity Q/H "Human health and social work activities" (90.8%) and D/? "Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply" (85.7%).
Of the newly born enterprises in 2009, 70.3% survived in 2011. Also, the most stable, i.e. having the highest survival rate are newly born enterprises whose main activity according to the National Classification of Activities NKD Rev.2 belongs in the sector of activity Q/H "Human health and social work activities" (91.7%) and D/? "Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply" (87.0%).
Of the newly born enterprises in 2010, 65.6% survived in 2011. The most stable, i.e. having the highest survival rate are newly born enterprises whose main activity according to the National Classification of Activities NKD Rev.2 belongs in the sector of activity B/? "Mining and quarrying" (91.7%) and Q/H "Human health and social work activities" (90.3%).
