Furniture Fair 2014
The furniture industry has increased this year. This is confirmed by this year’s jubilee 40th annual International Furniture Fair that will have a record number of participants from the country.
According to the organizers the number of domestic companies, retailers and furniture manufacturers is increased by 20 percent. 180 domestic and foreign companies and 430 brands representatives from tomorrow until 30 March will present their products in 10 halls.
The program includes an exhibition titled “Luminosity” – Living smart on a Swedish way, by the renowned Swedish author of Serbian origin Alexandra Stratimirovic. According Stratimirovic the exhibition offers insight into contemporary Swedish lights design of five leading companies. The author says the exhibition is an initiative of the Swedish Embassy in Sarajevo, where the setting was introduced late last year.
Swedish Ambassador to Macedonia Mats Staffansson noted that the exhibition presents specific Swedish design that features a natural and clean modern lines expressed through forms, and should contribute to cooperation between Macedonian and Swedish companies.
The Exclusive partner of Furniture Fair 2014 “Porsche Macedonia” provided top prize for visitors – a car “Volkswagen up”. According Zlatko Mucunski, general director of “Porsche Macedonia”, the idea is to use the furniture fair in the absence of cars fair to approach the audience by organizing cars test – driving.
Traditionally prizes for the best manufacturers and retailers of furniture will be awarded.
