Football Federation of Macedonia with the support of UEFA and the “Hat Trick” development program, in cooperation with institutions yesterday in Veles officially put into use, the most modern and finest football field with artificial grass part of the project for setting ten football fields with artificial grass in different municipalities.
At the opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski, President of FFM Ilcho Gjorgjioski, mayor of the municipality, Slavcjo Chadiev and numerous fans.
- The desire of the Football Federation of Macedonia is together with the Government of Republic of Macedonia and local government to improve sports infrastructure. We are confident that investment in infrastructure will again return to sports fans of our games and will allow us to set new goals that will lead to success, the fair play and with real values. We want to help everyone, our goal is to make joint efforts and investments, and all that is done in European football centers, must be done in Macedonia too. This is big step to make the house with real foundation. No matter that FFM has to take care of numerous teams, we will never become tired of giving support, material and any other in all areas in Macedonia. With the support of UEFA, FFM is able to realize important projects for Macedonian football, the construction of infrastructure to educate coaches, officials, and football fans. With assistance from the Government and with the support of the municipalities can make beautiful future for our sport, especially football because youngsters are source for future of Macedonian football, said President of FFM, Ilcho Gjorgjioski.
Its addressing at the ceremony had the President of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski who welcomed project for installation of 10 fields with artificial grass and noted that the Government commitment is to create conditions for active participation of youth in sports activities in the country.
As proven sports friend, the President of the Government of Republic of Macedonia expressed the hope that these infrastructure improvements will be step plus in the direction to achieve common goals, children and young people to dedicate themselves to the sport and healthy values.
The project – 10 football fields with artificial grass is part of the cooperation of the Football Federation of Macedonia, the Government Agency for Youth and Sport, Local Government and Development Program of UEFA.
Grass surface is placed on the field at the stadium in Veles is made following the highest criteria of UEFA and meets the requirements to host of representative and club teams.
