Industrial production in the period between January and October rose by 5.1% compared to the same period last year. This October the industrial production increased by 7.5% in comparison with October 2013, according to the State Statistical Office.
Industrial production in the section mining and quarrying in October 2014, in comparison with October 2013, decreased by 4.2%, in the section manufacturing industry it increased by 7.9%, and in the section electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 21.3%.
According to Main Industrial Groupings, industrial production in October 2014, in comparison with October 2013, was higher in energy by 16.9%, intermediate goods industries, except energy by 2.0%, capital goods industries by 49.0% and non-durable consumer goods industries by 2.7%.
