Industrial production in Macedonia in 2014 rose by 4.8% compared to 2013, statistics shows.
Last December, the industrial production increased by 0.7% compared to December the year before, data from the State Statistical Office released Wednesday show.
Industrial production in the mining and quarrying category decreased by 6.6% in December 2014, compared to the same month, 2013. As to the manufacturing industry, it went up by 2.7%. Industrial production dropped by 5% in the category of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply.
The production by Main Industrial Group in December 2014 in comparison with December 2013 was higher in the intermediate goods industries, except energy - by 8%; capital goods industries by 47.1% and durable goods industries by 16.9%, but it was lower in energy by 12.2%, and non-durable consumer goods industries, by 10.2%.
